Chimera 2004 Recount

For memory sake and for those who were unable to join u, I’d like to give you a small recount of our 2004 Rousing Chimera gathering.

It was a terrific weekend filled with superb conversation and positive energy exchanges. Wülfsunus traveled the farthest, from NJ, RavenHarte and Lady Black traveled from North Carolina just to join us here in Savannah and share this special day with us.

I think I overfed every one at my place on Saturday… but after all that is the European way… the guests must eat! <sinister laugh>.  Later that evening Cryptic and Freaya opened their home to us and were terrific hosts. Cryptic provided a great bonfire … too bad we missed him chopping all that wood…. Although it was the 4th Blood and Roses Wedlock Ceremony I have conducted, it was certainly the one that I was most enthralled in heart and spirit. Personally, I am delighted to have been such a catalyst in their relationship and now to have had such a special place in their union. Their blood and Roses ceremony certainly, made our gathering all the more special.
RavenHarte’s guided meditation was certainly the second highpoint of the evening…that Mobius Journey was pretty intense.  It was truly appreciated by all that, Ravenharte took the time to construct the perfect combination of our festival elements into a well thought out journey into and out of our physical husks. I couldn’t have done it better myself.
Wülfsunus graced us with a select few of his poems that illustrated facets of our hearts and souls we seldom visit. We are very proud to have such a talented wordsmith as a member of our family.

Sunday was good fun too. For those that shared laughs with us at Clary’s; Hot Diggidy Damn!
Red Ardor Metaphysics was an interesting stop to start our holiday shopping while Shannon Scott of Sixth Sense delighted us with tales of local hauntings, as our group thinned. Later we ended up at Spesso, a local coffee house, indulging in more coffee and cake…while continuing our shopping; this time for the perfect rack... There were so many other wonderful moments, thoughts shared and truths spoken. It was a truly memorable weekend. I am so delighted that everything, including the weather was positively perfect and in our favor.

Thank you all that helped make this weekend so very special.

Madame X

The night was beautiful and perfect for the walk but they were soon surprised to find it rift with malicious night spirits. Everywhere the fivesome turned chaos was abounding. "If you turn down that corner don’t you bother to come home" a damsel shouted but alas her mate had already bid her goodnight. Such rage, such sorrow... hmmm tasty! Who says the witch cant vamp just a little, LOLOL.
The fivesome went on studying lily pond plates and artichoke vases, and the witch and the magnificent MadameX saw beautiful shoes, when finally they arrived at Boba! and refreshment was found. Though the witch RavenHarte froze her brain, they laughed so hard she almost cried and much fellowship was exchanged.
The witch RavenHarte and her faithful knight Sir Drives-fast-alot returned to their vroom after witnessing the mischief one last time of the malicious night fairies. Off they sped in their vroom only to return the next day to the chamber of Madame X where they were able to meet the intriguing lady vampire LadyBlak with rocks in her head, and some of them even worth $10,000,000 fashioned into ladies unmentionables, LOLOL

RavenHarte

Rob/ Mario Andretti, swiftly got them to Cryptic and Freaya's House. The first thing LB noticed was that Cryptic was carrying a large gas can into the back yard and grinning evilly. Soon several "Whooshes" could be heard and some giggles. Also she noted that Freaya was quite the lovely and glowing bride. Madame X and Wülfsunus brought us unity and inspiration with their tales and talents. As the evening progressed RavenHarte took them all on a journey of the mind down the Mobius Strip - a lovely enriching experience. Then a beautiful ceremony for Cryptic and the Lovely Freaya followed. It was a beautiful moving thing to behold.
Then, the gas can came out again as the grass was...slightly lit on fire.

Then it was off to the late night diner, where I might add they didn't have any gravy. It was discussed that a knife, fork and spoon could represent the caste system and that when dining in a late night establishment the seat cushions can't be depended on for comfort. Sorry Rob.
As Cryptic and Freaya parted our company for the evening, the rest went to the pier, noting along the way that some people cannot drive. Well, not as well as "Minivan Rob" of course.
The rest of us walked with elegant vampyre dignity*lol* While Jonathan and Madame X scurried past and flew down the pier, almost being attacked by a rogue seagull.

LadyBlak

I would like to thank everyone who attended our ceremony! It was beautiful, magical, mystical....oh the list goes on and on. Everyone knows that Cryptic and I got married 2 months ago, but now we really feel married. It took place at our house. Madame X was the Ramkht who wed us, Ravenharte was the Kitra (that was a change--but a great one), and Wülfsunus was the Mradu. I would also like to thank Rob—Ravenharte’s hubby; Ladyblak, and Johnathan. We had such a good time. I am so sorry that many of you couldn’t attend.
Thank you for your time and patience. I love you guys!!!

Freaya

Yeaaaaaah . . . we’re all here again. Ok, ok, so I’m here now and you loved-ones have always been here, I am the one that ebbs and flows like the tide. And wow! I had the most wonderful time this past fleeting weekend in Savannah with many of you, the sense of our family has never felt so home to me. So where am I now? In a sad place, but still so much richer for the experience we had. Seems like a dream now, but that dream, that thought, it one moment exists on one side of the see-saw, looking up to the point where all is possible, and with that jump of faith comes the reality, that point, balance where all “is”. Earth becomes Heaven as in our heart. We ascend beyond the focal of present to memory, to past, on the other side now . . . looking back . . . dreaming again.
I miss you all so . . .
We are only limited by the inability to imagine, to dream.
