Plays, pageants, jousting tournaments, jugglers and jesters and all forms of entertainments fill the streets. Ordinary peasants don pirate’s caps and speak the language of seafaring men. ‘Tis a festival of most grand proportion where the non-stop celebration is threatened only by the desire of one single-minded Lord to dispose of his most despised arch rival, the Queen. Excitement, drama and intrigue envelop the Shire as pirates, peasants and princes celebrate the music, arts, literature and grand traditions of Renaissance England.

Having recently attended the Tuxedo, New York Ren Faire and the Crownsville, Maryland Ren Faire, I hope to have the opportunity to visit the PA faire, I will particularly try when Corvus Corax is performing...
