House of the Dreaming intends on having a House Gathering open to all Members, Dedicants, BlackSwans, Abbon and friends beginning Thursday the 21st of October through Monday the 25th.
Hosted by:
Herr Wulfunus, Master Deacon, Lady Sequanna, Alterra, Khan, Ezikiel and I.

There will be several private Members Only activities, but we will also be hosting various open/semi-private activities in NY and NJ which will be posted here once we have confirmed the details of the events itinerary. Among others these will include: The Sanguinomicon release party, a viewing of Nosferatu at a restored vintage cinema, a House Parlor and an outdoor BloodMoon ritual. Once the itinerary is posted you may RSVP for the individual activities you wish to attend.

We will be making a recommendation for a hotel just blocks away from the hub of our gathering in Fort Lee, NJ, which is walking distance from Manhattan. But of course you are welcome to stay at any other location.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to meet and get to know House Members, visit the NYC, and have fun. You have over a month to make plans for the necessary time off and finances.

Location: 225 East Houston Street at Essex Street and Avenue A, NYC, NY
Pick up the newest issue of the Sanguinomicon, meet community luminaries and visit Element. Originally this building was a bank, and later home of the legendary Goth Club ‘The Bank’. After extensive restoration the Element now offers 3 levels of nightlife play, featuring 3 full-service bars, a V.I.P mezzanine, and seductive lounge spaces. Stay tuned for more info on this event.

Friday 22nd –

8pm – Dinner at Iberia Tavern and Restaurant (Portuguese/Spanish fare)

3pm – An afternoon walk at Mount Pleasant Cemetery
Location: 375 Broadway, Newark, New Jersey
This historical site from the early 1800’s overlooking the Passaic River offers the perfect afternoon escapade replete with over 40 acres of autumn foliage and beguiling architectural details on chapel, graves, vaults and mausoleums.
Dress Code: Victorian, Gothic, Edwardian. Bring your cameras and parasols.

Transportation: Accessible via public transportation / carpooling from Fort Lee. Cemetery is walking distance from Newark penstation with bus route passing right in front of the cemetery, but we recommend taking a short cab ride from the Newark train station.

Location: Newark Avenue, Little India, Jersey City
The Little India area located on Newark avenue between Kennedy Boulevard and Tonelle Avenue. Be dazzled by ancient cultures come to life. Great shopping and good food from India, Gujarat, Kerela, Pakistan and Uttarpradesh.

7:30pm – Nosferatu at The Landmark Loew’s Jersey Theatre
Location: 54 Journal Square Jersey City, NJ
Join us for a screening of the original silent film: Nosferatu with the live in-house vintage pipe organ accompaniment. This late 1920´s cinema house was once referred to as The Most Lavish Temple of Entertainment in New Jersey. This theater has been preserved and is continually restored to its original magnificence. And don´t forget to look up; the Austrian Chandelier is worth $750,000. Bring your camera.
Dress Code: Casual, semi-formal.

A Day in The City – Join us as we head into Manhattan and explore The Village. Location: The Village
Our stops will include: Rays Famous Pizza, the ‘still’ atmospheric (catch it while you can before they completely sterilize it) Christopher Street and the cafes of Bleeker Street, The Slaughtered Lamb, Jackyl’n’Hyde, The Renaissance Shop, Halloween Adventure (home of The Transformatorium), dinner at Khyber Pass (maybe lol) and much shopping at 8th Street and Saint Marks Place!
Dress Code: Casual.

This very eclectic ritual is open to all interested: Members, Dedicants, Abbon, and Friends. Participants Only Please! This will be an energy pooling ritual focusing on elevating our personal energy levels, remembering the Ancients and drawing upon the empowerment of the lunar renewal. All are welcome to contribute words, poetry recitations and offerings. A more detailed write-up of the proceedings will be provided on Sunday.
Before Closing, please do celebrate with us DarkAdora as she formally embraces her nightside name and identity.
We will then return to the house where we can continue to socialize or depart.

Thank you so much for being a part of my gathering last week. It was wonderful to spend time with you and have you connect to those I call Family. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and affection. It was a beautiful weekend for me. I am sure that nor I nor my Family will forget it.

A special note of congratulations goes to Master Deacon, Lady Sequanna, and Ezikiel temped for their ascension ceremonies.
I would like to send out special Thank-Yous to: my Black Swan Beth Athena for all the continued assistance and support, our Dedicant Dark Adora for gifting us with the clever House Photo, and to our friend Richter LeRoux for gifting us with the handsome art for the brochure and our Temple.

It was a wonderful gathering filled with great food, much sneezing, scenic walks, lots of shopping, classic vampires, ceremonial wine, ritual, mayhem and of course GREAT COMPANY!

Our Blood Moon Ceremony was a perfect circle of 13 under the bright light of the moon.
