This is very true. On the same note though a little bit of fear will keep you alive. It keeps your senses active and makes you aware and responsive in times of danger. Those who claim to be fearless usually live very short lives. They tend to leave this realm of reality due to stupidity.

A similiar concern was voiced somewhere in the Dune saga.

However, this is not necessarily true.

The wisdom is to acknowledge the source of the fear, modify your agenda to deal with the source in a rational way, and then proceed without the fear itself.

This is a great article. I would agree with both of you on the commentary regarding the person who states they do not fear anything.

A person who states that they are totally fearless of anything may be feigning bravado. Or they could simply understand that everything in life is transitory. Even the end of physical life is transitory. Mastering the fear leads to wisdom as Bholanath said. However, the person who dives over the side of the building fearlessly because they've deluded themselves into believing they can fly is arrogance as Syn said. Fear can be both detrimental or beneficial. It is within our own mastery and strength of mind and spirit that dictates it's point and purpose.
