Nevermind...I just read its sister article "Spirit Winds".

In recent years there have been several archeological finds here in North America that seem to hypothesize that the Celts, Saxons, and a few others made contact and exchanged ideas long before Erik the Red ever set foot in a boat. I don't see why it isn't possible you have to consider the distance between us and Europe was quite a bit shorter than it is today.

I happen to like this particular system because it does tend to be multi cultural. The only problem is that although I do see myself as a fish, I just can't imagine being a salmon or having anything in common with one. Heck I won't even eat one!
