Another interesting tid bit I picked up in Ireland regarding All Hallows’ Eve
Of druidic origin, this festival is said to have originated in a small town in the County Cork in Ireland, is celebrated on the evening of the 31st of October. According to Druidic tradition it was on this day that The Lord of Death, by some called Saman, called forth the souls of evil men who had been condemned to dwell in the bodies of animals.
