New Service: Discussion Mailing List

There are some concerns about activity on the message board being low.

But this is somewhat of a superficial concern -- the real concern is one of interaction between members of the Outer Circle.

We realize that having the check a message board requires that much more thought and dedication to the House of the Dreaming.

However, we would also like to see more activity and involvement.



Our hosting service allows us to set up Mailing lists for either announcements or discussions. These operate much like eGroups without all the bells and whistles.


While we fully intend to continue using these message boards, I hope that creating a discussion list might encourage more frequent and social activity among our membership, and help to entice newer members into greater involvement.


At the moment, I am just creating one for the ALL members of the House (both Inner and Outer Circle). In the future, as we learn what sort of activity to expect, we may reorganize this into multiple lists.


While in the future, it may be necessary to sign up seperatedly for each the Discussion List and the Message Board, at present I will be adding all current members of this Message Board to the Discussion List.

We had a slight bug in the configuration, but it is now worked out.


While, for the moment I'll add those who successfully apply to join the Outer Circle or for Abbon status to the Discussion List. All others must apply to the discussion list seperately (just so I'm not wasting time copying around e-mail addresses for those who might not appreciate or use the service anyway).
