[The Madame X]

We'd like to introduce a new area of our discussion forum to our Forum Participants - Parenting.

This area of our forum is visible only to those that have HotD Forum rights. There we can discuss privately our thoughts, hardships and joyous moments of parenting our dayside children. Quite of few of us at HotD have young children and a few others have older kids, which equates to the perfect combination for positive exchange of insight and growth.
Please feel free to chime in with your thoughts or questions on the matter.

Let me (or our Gatekeeper Wulfsunus) know if you would like to view and post on the Parenting Forum but cannot.

Here we can discuss what its like being a Nightkind parent, address the topic of Minors, the issues we struggle with our young, and the glimpses we have of our Children, minors and their nature. Here we can ask eachother for advice, share our insite and and grow from each other's experience as we raise our dayside and nightside children.

At first thought I would say no but I also feel it may not be such a bad idea if the young ones understood our reasoning behind our thoughts.

I think that I would tend to be on Deacon Gray's side in this discussion as to the wisdom of allowing minors access. Children and those on the cusp of adulthood are in my opinion too malleable and subject to blind following. I do not feel that their experience ( or lack thereof ) allows for them to make informed decision and therefore they would come not of free will, but rather at the behest of others. It may well be that instead of exploring their own paths and discovering their own truths, they would be content to accept the experiences of others as their own truth, and if this proved to be so, then would e not be putting ourselves in the same as those organizations and religions that demand blind faith and obedience rather then relishing our differences and encouraging that each find his own way and his own Gnosis. Just my two cents.

Minors no. The topic of minors yes. Most minors are seeking but not necessarily for personal truth as much as personal identity. There are also quite a few parents out there that monitor their children's activity on the computer and with good reason. They are afraid their children may run into a predator. Here we have a forum filled with predators, albeit not the same variety, but parents concerned for the safety of their children won't understand that. I would suggest that we keep the topic of parenting and minors on the boards but continue to disallow minors within our forum.

Wulfsunus, should you, or any Member like, you can certainly make the recommendation on the Inner Circle that this section be made publicly viewable, and thus viewable by minors. The recommendation will then be privately deliberated on by the Membership, and announced to the forum participants.
