As you may have noticed, I and some of the other members here have a picture either of us or representing us, beneith our names when we post.

Aside from making this site look pretty, they also help those who are visually oriented keep track of who is who.

To supply an image, select profile and scroll to the bottom of the page to the "Avatar control panel". You may either upload a picture or link to an image stored elsewhere (note: some servers don't allow "hotlinking" and this may result in a "broken" image).

You may either use an image of yourself or of someone or something which you feel is a good representation (either literally or metaphorically) of you. Please keep the pictures small (no larger than 80px x 80ox; if you need help cropping or resizing, let me know) and tasteful. We reserve the right to edit or delete images.

P.S. PHPBBS2 also allows us to set up an "avatar gallery". We'd like to offer this option for those members who, for whatever reason, can't or won't supply their own image. However, we need a collection of suitable images in order to create the gallery. Most avatar collections available seem cliche, tacky, and/or lacking-in-appropriacy. If anyone has or knows of an avatar collection which we can offer with pride, let us know.

Thank you Wulfsunus. I was using photoshop to make my pictures small but couldnt figure out how come it stayed at 17 K . I will try what you suggested though.

User control panel (top of any page, after logged in) ->
"Profile" tab ->
Edit avatar.

You can also add a signature
