Regarding JP Vanir and the Sin Nomine Edict

From the Elders and Members of the House of the Dreaming:

The House of The Dreaming chooses to take a neutral stance on any proclamation of Sin Nomine, Persona Non Grata and any other form of censure called forth by The Community, unless all current members of the House agree in unison.

It is important to clarify that House of The Dreaming is a House of Ronin, where the rights of our individual members are prized and respected. To that end while we may co-jointly agree that the individual in question should indeed be ostracized from the community, banned from our forums and certainly removed from our own personal spaces; Our House will not demand, expect or enforce that our members abstain from talking and socializing with any one person or group.

We welcome the public disbursement of information regarding excommunications, banishments and sin-nomine edicts, as the community certainly should be aware of these dangerous and dishonorable individuals, and so that we may act accordingly. Being Ronin, we of The Dreaming are certainly welcome to participate or abstain on an individual level from any Community edict, including when it comes to sin-nomine, excommunications and banishments.

This type of motion has happened repeatedly over the years, with others whose names will not be mentioned or have faded away from memory. The Dreaming respect this community-wide effort and encourage everyone in their right mind to stay away from JP, but we will not take a political stand unless the whole of the house feel as strongly in regarding this as an embarrassment to the community. As it stands, House of The Dreaming does not feel our membership has reached an unanimous consensus in regards to this individual, however within the walls of the House of The Dreaming, JP Vanir is not welcome, and each of our members is asked to decide for themselves their level of personal contact.
