According to recent research conducted in the US, one thousand out of each 8 million people share either a Vampiric, Therian or Otherki nature. The Portuguese language is spoken by over 210 million individuals all over the globe, which means over 20 thousand potential Portuguese speaking Nightkind Seekers. House of the Dreaming is proud to offer both detailed information and a discussion forum in Portuguese.
Collaborative Projects
The Collective
House of the Dreaming in conjunction with Vampyre Lounge and with the participation of the Vampyre Society at-large is hosting a brand new video program called the Collective. It features a series of interviews with various Modern Day Vampires, Community Leaders, and other individuals. Each interview will be designed to independently focus on specific topics of community interest. House of the Dreaming and Vampyre Lounge are non-partisan in our approach and hope to provide as many perspectives as possible from all angles of community interest. The Collective is being viewed by folks all over the world, including Europe and South America. We are currently working on improving our AV quality and working on closed captioned subtitles! House of the Dreaming and Vampyre Lounge will periodically host filming parties and will travel to attend local or out of town events. So yes, if you or someone you know is interested in being featured on The Collective, please let us know. We are looking forward to zooming in on your perspectives! The Dark Nations
Khan and Madame X have co-founded Dark Nations an exclusive collective of embassies and ambassadors gathered for the purpose of truthful information exchange, and project collaboration, intent on raising the bar on communication and conduct across the community at large. If you are part of a closed membership group that has an active core membership of three or more which has been active for over a year, and have a vested interest on improved communication and diplomatic community relations, you are welcome to join and establish an embassy at Dark Nations. Teaneck, NJ Hosted by Paul Nash. Featuring supernatural poet Bret Rutherford. Madame X and Wulfsunus attended this poetic event marked by much macabre poetry from tri-state area poets.
April
4/11 Madame X featured at Camera Obscura
Honolulu, HW Hosted by DJ Nocturna. An intimate group of about 20 or 30 attended the seminar conducted by Madame X. Many had questions regarding practices, beliefs, and semantics. Herr Wulfsunus helped address the group on the topic of what is House of the Dreaming. Book and picture signing and an auction for a copy of limited edition of the 2003 edition of the ‘V’ hardcover!

Of Goals and Milestones
On Asarai by Lady Aislin
The goal of every asarai is to cause as much dissension and chaos as possible. The reason is so they can stand back and receive either the negativity it causes or so they can glean a sense of false self-importance through the ability to manipulate and control other people. The first universal law is no one can violate the free will of another UNLESS YOU ALLOW THEM TO! No one can control, manipulate, influence, torment, affect, or entice you without your personal permission to allow this to happen.
These people normally are like snakes. They often volunteer for things for the simple purpose of hearing how wonderful it was that they offered their time and energy to the project. I have known asarai to volunteer to aid others in events, raise the stakes and then leave the other person hanging to foot the bill. People allow asarai to get into their lives because they either do not listen to their first instinct, or they just don't know what they are getting themselves into.
The only way to thoroughly eradicate asarai from our Society is simply to not deal with them at all, on any level, for any reason. Snakes do not only bite once. If left to their own devices, and if you're not bright enough to move out of their way, they will bite you to death if you let them. It is your choice to allow them to bite you to death, or to walk away before they can strike. As a Nightside Society we are not a bunch of victims. We are not helpless. Come on now people, think! It's a simple choice of either allowing someone to affect your life or not. It's your life, not theirs!
